You are really lucky as an artist if you can find friends who will give you HONEST feedback on your work (and everything else). Community is important even though your work is mostly done in solitude. It's frustrating to have alot of people who say one thing to your face and then reserve their REAL candor for when you leave the room. I would rather have a friend who is straight up and totally sincere,than some one who "fronts me" and pretends to say what they think I want to hear. It comes with the territory though.
