This painting is one of my favorites...but where does the Marxism come in?
I was talking about using a common and ubiquitious statement like a "help wanted sign" and turning it into something more sublime. Like a spiritual prayer or solicitation. The reference to Marxism is just a reference to Marx's many writings about the working class and their mystical (mystified) consciousness.
